We think we differ in that we come at the process of Design from more than one angle. In our view there are many ways of approaching the redesign of a web site. You can be driven by a number of different factors - and you will find that different suppliers and internal staff and departments tend to come at the problem from one well-defined angle.
So you get approaches like;
- Creative and Brand led design (stylish and artistic 'statement making')
- Search engine optimisation led design (maximising trafffic)
- Sales driven design (building day-to-day sales or enquiry volumes)
- Customer service focussed design (delivering online services and cost reduction)
- Competitor driven catch-up (keeping up with the Jones's)
- Content driven design (we've got this content, let's 'just get it up on the web')
- Technical driven projects (programmers decide what the web site should do and look like)
- Keeping it as cheap as possible led design ("my neighbours' daughter designs web sites")
And so on. Needless to say, when one view is taken - the other objectives suffer.
At Chilli Digital we believe in the Business driven design of web sites. That is, designing and building web sites that support the business objectives of the whole organisation and not just individual staff, teams or suppliers.
This means involving all of the different stakeholders in the process - and very often educating them about each other's perspectives at the same time. (Typically, the different perspectives on design are driven by what people do, and do not, know.)
So what makes Chilli Digital different?
